You’ll join a cross-functional group working on some key efforts, working on groundbreaking products and experiences that help users discover the value of Spotify. We’re looking for someone passionate about creating strategies and beautifully designed products to address opportunities informed by human-forward insights. Together, we’ll look holistically at how we can bring people the audio they want and love, while making our experience smarter, contextually appropriate, and relevant, while introducing new ways to engage them.

We are looking for an experienced UX writer to be a strategic design contributor on a team committed to identifying growth opportunities. We want someone who is passionate about Spotify and helping users find the right music for every moment. How do we deliver valuable, understandable messaging and experiences that provide the listener real value in the context of Spotify? How do we balance what’s good for business with the need to champion, empower, and protect our listeners? This is a great opportunity to inject the perspective of our users into our experiences and be an agent of positive change.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to deliver compelling UX solutions
  • Help lead project across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches
  • Set the vision for the user experience and create the space for others to collaborate with your cross-functional partners
  • Help foster a shared understanding of the problem space by facilitation cross-functional workshops and group ideation sessions
  • Write clear, consistent, concise user-interface content, notifications, emails, and product tours
  • Champion a cohesive brand story across our entire ecosystem of product offerings
  • Work with our Localization team to look at the work through a global lens to deliver relevant experiences to different markets
  • Collaborate with the team to create a framework to continuously improve and test content
  • Test your work with users to make sure we’re using the right language at the right time
  • Contribute to maintaining and documenting evolving content, brand, and voice/tone standards
  • Provide teams with the methods, process, and solutions needed to execute strategy
  • Drive progress through obstacles by building consensus and making decisions, taking responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way

Job Requirements
  • You have at least 5 years of experience writing or editing content for the web and mobile experiences, as a UX writer, information architect, and content strategist, or similar
  • You hold an MA in Journalism, Publishing, or any other related field
  • Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent
  • You have previous experience working in Emerging Markets, such as India
  • You have an understanding of UX principles and how they’re applied to products
  • You have experience working within UX design, marketing, editorial, journalism, or script writing
  • You have the skills to help set up frameworks and initial design concepts, and bring strategy to life
  • You have a people-focused mentality and enjoy solving problems for all kinds of users
  • You’re constantly looking to hone your executions through user feedback, whether through hands-on user research or by A/B testing
  • You have an online portfolio or PDF that you can share with us
  • You have previous experience working on a technology company with consumer products
