About the role

As a Product Designer at Wave, you’ll play a crucial role in the product development lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with product designers, researchers, content strategists, product managers, engineers, and customer support to craft user-centred experiences that help micro business owners manage their finances with confidence and clarity.

Here's how you'll make an impact

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to navigate user and business needs during discovery and iterate on design solutions that deliver meaningful value for customers. You’ll contribute to Wave’s evolving product strategy, follow and improve user-centric design principles, and help maintain our Design System libraries.

You’ll partner with product managers and engineering leads to prioritise discovery and delivery backlogs, and collaborate with the User Research Team to plan and conduct concept testing, usability testing, and interviews. You’ll analyse insights, develop hypotheses, and explore multiple solutions before refining the best one.

You’ll mock up and prototype using Figma, validate and test your ideas, and facilitate design reviews with the Product Design, Content Strategy, and Design Systems teams. You’ll share your work openly with fellow designers, continuously gathering feedback and improving your designs.

You'll thrive here if

You have 4+ years of professional product design experience designing for mobile and web apps, with strong fundamentals in experience and visual design. You’re humble, open to feedback, and collaborative. You have experience conducting user research such as interviews, usability tests, and surveys, and are highly proficient in Figma and prototyping.

You’re a passionate self-starter with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality design work. You excel in both autonomous and collaborative environments, stay up to date with design trends, and know when to break the mold. Above all, you keep the user at the centre of every design decision.

Experience in fintech is a plus.
