Senior Product Designer

Cohere is hiring a Senior Product Designer to join its Foundations team, the group responsible for the core AI-powered experiences inside North. This role shapes the systems that power conversational interfaces, agent loops, model selection, API surfaces, and enterprise configurations. It’s a deeply technical design position where you’ll architect extensible frameworks that support rapidly evolving AI capabilities while serving both highly technical and non-technical users.

You’ll own end-to-end design across foundational workflows, balancing complex constraints with clear, intuitive experiences. The work spans research, strategy, system design, and high-fidelity craft. You’ll collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and cross-functional partners across the organization, as Foundations touches nearly every product team. Expect to run user research across multiple personas, evolve design systems, and bring structure to emerging interaction paradigms in conversational AI and agentic systems.

Cohere is looking for someone with at least four years of product design experience, a strong systems-thinking portfolio, and a deep commitment to research-driven decisions. You’ll need fluency in Figma, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate AI/ML concepts into scalable, user-centered workflows. Craft and attention to detail matter here, as does the ability to anticipate how designs scale across varied deployment models and customer environments.
