Senior UI/UX Designer

Dexter health is an AI-first healthtech startup building Dexter Mobile, a native app designed to remove administrative work from nurses so they can focus on patient care. The product is live and used daily by thousands of nurses in real healthcare environments, with new features shipped continuously.

As Senior UI/UX Designer at dexter health, you will own the end-to-end UX and UI of Dexter Mobile. This role combines hands-on design execution with strong ownership and close collaboration with founders and engineers. You’ll focus on improving existing nursing workflows while shipping new features quickly in short iteration cycles.

You’ll redesign and simplify critical workflows such as documentation, shift planning, and handovers, translating complex healthcare processes into clear, intuitive mobile experiences. Your work will span discovery through delivery, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI for both iOS and Android, all built primarily in Figma.

You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining a lightweight design system to support fast and consistent development. The role is highly collaborative, with day-to-day work alongside engineers using Flutter and Dart, ensuring design decisions translate cleanly into production.

User feedback and product analytics play a key role in this position. You’ll use tools such as Mixpanel, UXCam, or Smartlook to identify UX issues, validate improvements, and iterate post-launch. You’ll also run simple user tests before and after releases, documenting design decisions clearly so the wider team understands the rationale behind choices.

This is a high-ownership role suited to a hands-on senior designer who thrives in fast-moving startup environments. You’ll have direct influence on how a live healthcare product works and feels, with a tangible impact on the daily lives of nurses.
