Freelance Design Lead (Design Systems)

Fantasy is hiring a Freelance Design Lead focused on design systems to help deliver large-scale digital products and intelligent experiences for globally recognised organisations. This role centres on crafting scalable, accessible, and visually cohesive system-driven interfaces used across complex ecosystems spanning web, automotive, AI, voice, and platform environments.

You’ll lead the definition of human-centred interaction principles, design high-fidelity user interfaces, document micro-interactions and motion behaviours, and ensure visual consistency through advanced use of Figma libraries and component systems. The position involves close collaboration with UX, conceptual, and client stakeholders to translate strategic goals into research-driven, production-ready design solutions while shaping how people interact with emerging AI-powered products.

The role requires 4+ years of digital product design experience, deep expertise in scalable design systems, strong UI craft and accessibility knowledge, and proven ability to refine wireframes into polished system-level interfaces. Strong communication, client leadership, and attention to detail are essential, alongside fluency in Figma and system documentation practices.
