Principal Product Designer

Federato Technologies is hiring a Principal Product Designer to help shape the user experience of its Intelligent Underwriting Platform, a SaaS solution designed to improve decision-making, productivity, and satisfaction for insurance underwriters. As a venture-backed, high-growth InsurTech company addressing major industry challenges linked to climate risk and economic inequality, this role plays a key part in defining the future direction of the product.

You will design and prototype new platform features, refine existing experiences, and create high-quality UI interactions that directly address user needs. The role involves close collaboration with founders, engineers, and fellow designers to guide implementation, advocate for user-centred thinking, and visually communicate product direction through wireframes, mockups, and interaction design. You’ll also contribute feedback across the design team to continually raise quality standards.

The position requires 4–10 years of professional product design experience, strong expertise in user-centred design processes, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and fluency with tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in fast-paced startup environments, FinTech or InsurTech domains, design systems, and modern web technologies is considered advantageous.
