The Role
This is an opportunity to strengthen the design capability within Marcus, shaping seamless experiences across web, mobile, and beyond. You’ll partner with teams across Operations, Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Compliance to explore user problems and create innovative solutions. This role requires ownership, consistency, and creativity in driving design forward while balancing regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead design initiatives across web and mobile, aligning user needs with business objectives.
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams.
Develop and evolve the Marcus design system across web, mobile, and native apps.
Champion opportunities for user research and data-driven improvements.
Work with US colleagues and cross-divisional partners to influence design standards.
Bring innovative thinking to how customers and agents interact with products.
Communicate design intent effectively to stakeholders through visual storytelling and presentations.
Requirements
Extensive product design experience with strong mobile-first and responsive design skills.
Proven ability to design and deliver for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Experience in regulated industries, ideally retail banking.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of UX writing is preferred but not essential.
Deep understanding of UCD, usability, accessibility, user research, and testing methods.
Proficiency with Figma and Adobe tools; knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is a plus.
A passion for solving user pain points with thoughtful design solutions.
