Junior UI/UX Designer
Interstellar Lab
Interstellar Lab is building the future of biofarming on Earth and in space, and BioApp is the digital layer that powers it. As a Junior UI/UX Designer, you’ll help shape how operators monitor, control, and understand our autonomous biofarming systems. Your work will sit at the intersection of hardware, software, and science—turning complex biological processes into clear, intuitive, and visually aligned interfaces.
You’ll support the evolution of BioApp across web and mobile, maintain a clean and scalable Figma workspace, and collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, and product designers. This role is hands-on, detail-driven, and perfect for someone who wants to grow their craft while contributing to cutting-edge biotech and space technology.
What You’ll Do
You’ll design and refine UI for BioApp, ensuring usability, clarity, and visual consistency across platforms. You’ll define user flows and interaction patterns, create wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI, and prepare graphic assets aligned with Interstellar Lab’s identity. You’ll keep the Figma library organised and consistent, contribute to design reviews, and iterate based on cross-functional feedback. You’ll also keep an eye on new UI/UX trends to help elevate the product experience as the platform grows.
What You’ll Bring
You have 1–3 years of experience in UI/UX design and a portfolio that shows strong visual sense and user-centred thinking. You’re confident with Figma—Auto Layout, components, and prototyping—and familiar with design systems. You know your way around Adobe Creative Suite and have a basic understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design. You’re organised, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Fluent French is required, along with professional English communication skills.
