The Team
The Onchain Strike Team is an elite unit within Kraken, building the bridge between CEX and DeFi. Team members come from top exchanges, DeFi protocols, and trading firms, operating with speed and precision to take products from 0→1.

The Role
Lead the design of next-generation Onchain trading products from concept to launch. Deliver visually rich, innovative designs that raise industry standards while ensuring high-quality user experiences. Work closely with cross-functional partners including product, research, engineering, and content.

Responsibilities
Design new product concepts for the Onchain space.
Set visual and UX standards for Onchain products that strengthen Kraken’s brand.
Prototype, test, and validate solutions using data-backed methods.
Balance customer needs, business goals, insights, and technical constraints.
Own your work, track outcomes, and iterate based on results.
Mentor peers and foster a culture of design excellence.
Stay on top of emerging Onchain and crypto trends to inform design direction.
Run and contribute to design reviews with actionable feedback.

Requirements
Proven track record leading 0→1 product design initiatives across web and mobile.
Experience shipping high-quality, complex Onchain or crypto products.
Deep understanding of Ethereum, decentralized workflows, and trading platforms (perps, derivatives, pro terminals).
Expertise in UX problem-solving, prototyping, and research-backed decision-making.
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate strategic design intent.
Organized, collaborative, and proactive.
