Product Designer II

Lightspeed is looking for a Product Designer II to join the Consumer Engagement squad within its Hospitality design team. This team helps restaurants and hospitality merchants deepen customer relationships through loyalty and gift card tools that turn first-time guests into regulars. The role focuses on shaping these experiences through strong UX thinking, design systems awareness, and an ability to translate complex workflows into clear, intuitive user journeys.

You’ll own full design cycles across a product area, from early problem exploration to final delivery. Collaboration is central: you’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to turn requirements into well-crafted features, using data and research to guide decisions. The work spans systems thinking, interface clarity, and thoughtful micro-interactions that help users complete tasks smoothly. You’ll contribute to design reviews, strengthen cross-platform consistency, and explore how AI and emerging tools can elevate both the product and design process.

You should bring at least four years of in-house UX/UI or product design experience, along with strong visual craft and a clear ability to communicate design decisions. The team looks for designers who ask why as much as what and how — those who understand product strategy, customer needs, and the long-term vision of the platform. Experience designing mobile and desktop experiences, working within design systems (including frameworks like React Native), and using tools like Figma and prototyping software is essential.
