UX Designer (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Lloyds

Lloyds Banking Group is hiring a UX Designer on a 12-month fixed term contract to join its London-based design team. This role sits within a hybrid working model, with at least two days per week spent in the office, and focuses on designing inclusive, user-centred digital experiences that support millions of customers.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end user experience design, crafting cohesive journeys across complex products using a central design system. You’ll balance business requirements with genuine user needs, drawing on qualitative and quantitative research to inform design decisions and confidently presenting your work to internal stakeholders. You’ll work closely with designers, developers, and cross-functional partners to ensure designs are delivered to a high standard and meet accessibility and inclusion best practices.

You’ll bring strong interaction design and prototyping skills, using tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, or Adobe XD to bring ideas to life. Experience working in complex environments, ideally within financial services, is valuable, alongside a strong understanding of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles. This role suits a collaborative designer who can advocate for the customer while navigating technical constraints and delivery realities.

Lloyds Banking Group offers a comprehensive benefits package including a generous pension contribution, annual bonus, share schemes, flexible and hybrid working, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, wellbeing initiatives, and strong parental leave policies. The organisation is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and encourages applications from underrepresented groups.
