The Role
We are looking for an expert designer to be a strategic contributor and lead projects for our mobile web and native app platforms. You will concept, design, and ship applications that millions of people use to find and book their travel. You will work with a diverse team of product managers, engineers, and designers to build, deliver, and test digital travel products.
You will be responsible for understanding customer needs in our markets worldwide and shaping experiences to meet those needs. You will take into account insights, technical constraints, platform guidelines, and business needs to craft user-centred app designs.
This role demands autonomy and ownership of your work, with responsibility for every detail and the success of your designs. You will rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes for experimentation, using data and user insights to guide exploration and solutions that drive user and business impact. Systems thinking is also essential, ensuring scalable design across current and future experiences.
About You
You have deep knowledge of Android design patterns, guidelines, and interaction models, and proven experience designing at consumer-focused product companies delivering outstanding user experiences. You can drive and ship features in a fast-moving, experimental environment and have excellent communication skills combined with analytical problem-solving.
You appreciate the entire product development process, from problem-solving through detailed interaction and visual design. You are user-focused, experienced in acquiring user feedback, conducting usability studies, and designing for experimentation.
You thrive in dynamic design processes that are guided by both quantitative and qualitative customer data. You bring strong time management skills, are self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable to emerging challenges.
You also bring a strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices for mobile platforms, including screen readers, colour contrast, and adaptable text sizes.
