Principal Product Designer

The Role

We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to shape our product strategy and ensure every feature we ship is world-class. You’ll bring deep user empathy, a sharp product sense, and the ability to simplify complex problems. This role combines design execution with high-level strategic input, giving you the opportunity to help define Bolt’s future.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work cross-functionally across design, product, engineering, support, GTM, and marketing to solve problems for shoppers and merchants. You’ll iterate on existing products while exploring entirely new opportunities, using research, prototyping, and systems thinking to design simple, elegant flows. You’ll elevate design within Bolt, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver pixel-perfect solutions at scale.

What Will Set You Up for Success

You have 10+ years of experience designing digital products and a portfolio that reflects strong UX and visual design fundamentals. You’re fluent in Figma and modern design frameworks, with advanced skills in Auto Layout, Component Variants, Design Tokens, and interactive prototyping. Experience with fintech products, motion design, and scalable design systems is a plus. You’re comfortable moving between big-picture strategy and detailed design work, and you thrive in ambiguous problem spaces where collaboration with product managers and engineers drives impact.
