The Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Messaging Experience Team—the group behind Ada’s real-time communication channels, including chat, mobile, and social integrations. You’ll help define what intelligent, AI-driven messaging should feel like, crafting the interactions between users and Ada’s AI agent.

You’ll collaborate across design, product, and engineering to create elegant, cohesive experiences that shape the future of automated conversations—balancing clarity, personality, and efficiency in every message.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work across surfaces and systems to deliver a unified messaging experience that feels human, responsive, and effortless. You’ll use your design craft and systems thinking to solve complex interaction problems and push the boundaries of what AI messaging can be.

You will:

  • Design for multiple messaging surfaces, including chat widgets, social channels, dashboards, and the AI agent itself.

  • Define the future of AI-powered support, building experiences that feel natural, contextual, and adaptive.

  • Create modular, reusable UI and interaction patterns that merge visual and conversational design.

  • Partner closely with PMs, engineers, and customers to run discovery sessions, test new messaging flows, and iterate quickly.

  • Translate ambiguity into clarity—structuring complex interaction problems into well-defined prototypes, flows, and models.

About You

You’re a hands-on product designer who thrives at the intersection of AI, systems design, and communication. You’re comfortable with complexity, confident in your process, and deeply care about creating experiences that feel both smart and human.

You bring:

  • 3+ years of product design experience, ideally on complex or systems-driven products.

  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, balancing precision and creativity.

  • A systems-thinking mindset—you see patterns and modularity, not just screens.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguous problem spaces and turning them into actionable solutions.

  • A user-first perspective, with empathy for trust, transparency, and control in AI-driven interfaces.

  • Excellent collaboration and storytelling skills to align teams and influence direction.

  • A focus on outcomes, measuring success by product clarity, system quality, and customer impact.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience designing for AI or machine learning systems.

  • Background in conversational interfaces or multimodal experiences.

  • Insight into how humans and AI can collaborate effectively in real time.

Benefits & Perks

At Ada, you’ll design world-class products in a culture that values autonomy, learning, and balance.

Benefits include:

  • Unlimited vacation for true flexibility.

  • Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision, life insurance).

  • Wellness and lifestyle stipend to support your well-being.

  • Employee & Family Assistance Plan for personal support.

  • Flexible working hours and a remote-first culture with local hubs for connection.

  • Learning & development budget for continuous growth.

  • Work-from-home setup budget and access to the latest AI tools.

  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and advanced AI systems.
