In-person collaboration is central to Notion’s culture. All team members work from our offices on Mondays and Thursdays (Anchor Days), with some teams requiring additional in-office time.
Role Overview
As a Product Designer at Notion, you’ll be tackling timeless product challenges—crafting experiences that feel intuitive, playful, and enduring. This role is highly cross-functional: you’ll work with engineers, PMs, marketing, and customer-facing teams to design features that shape how millions of people use Notion every day.
Responsibilities
Design product concepts that balance vision, craft, speed, and business potential
Own end-to-end feature design: ideation, UX, and pixel-perfect execution
Collaborate closely with engineers to deliver your vision to production
Partner with CX, Sales, and Success teams to understand user needs and prioritize roadmap initiatives
Work with Marketing to tell compelling product stories across user lifecycle touchpoints
Create new design patterns and evolve the design system as Notion scales
Requirements
5+ years of professional product design experience
Proven ability to independently run projects end-to-end
Strong intuition for simplifying complex concepts into clear user flows
Skilled in crafting intuitive, visually appealing interfaces
Ability to balance design craft with speed, practicality, and business needs
Collaborative, open to feedback, and comfortable working cross-functionally
Strong communication skills—able to tell stories with words and visuals
Nice to Have
Experience designing and building tools with small teams or startups
Previous work on consumer productivity or collaboration products
Familiarity with Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, Bret Victor, or similar computing pioneers
Ability to code and prototype
Personal drive to fix fragmented workflows and tool silos
Compensation
Estimated base salary range (San Francisco): $105,000 – $250,000 per year, plus equity and competitive benefits. Final offer will vary based on scope, location, and experience.
