Product Designer

Runna

Runna is building the number one training platform for runners, helping everyday runners become outstanding through an app that delivers world-class training, coaching, and community. Whether improving a 5k time or training for a marathon, Runna supports runners at every level.

The company has grown rapidly, closing a $6.5M funding round in 2023 and being named one of Apple’s global finalists in 2024. In 2025, Runna was acquired by Strava, accelerating its mission to become the leading global training platform for millions of runners.

The Role

As a Product Designer, you’ll join a highly-skilled cross-functional product and engineering team to design new features across iOS, Android, Apple Watch, and third-party integrations like Garmin, Strava, Coros, and Suunto.

You will work closely with the founders, engineers, PM, and customers to shape Runna’s future. This includes discovering and prioritising user needs, creating solutions for complex design problems, illustrating ideas with user flows and prototypes in Figma, conducting user testing, collaborating with developers for implementation, and iterating on the design system.

This role reports to the Head of Product Design.

Requirements

You will bring 2 to 4 years of experience as a UX or Product Designer, including mobile design. You are a design generalist with a range of skills in typography, layout, and visualisation, and you enjoy speaking to users to uncover needs and solve problems effectively.

You are confident using quantitative data, obsessed with details that elevate design, and highly proficient in Figma and prototyping. You thrive in fast-paced environments, work well in cross-functional teams, and are comfortable facilitating workshops.

Bonus points if you have experience with consumer or startup mobile apps, working with React Native teams, designing smartwatch interfaces, or have a personal interest in fitness, running, or health.

Salary and Benefits

Runna offers a salary of £60,000 to £75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus participation in Strava’s long-term incentive stock programs.

Benefits include flexible hybrid working from the London office, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, a Runna subscription for you and five friends, Strava membership, annual allowances for fitness gear and events, new Runna kit each work anniversary, private health insurance, pension, and access to wellness platforms supporting mental health and family-forming needs.

Interview Process

The interview process is designed to be straightforward and enjoyable. It includes a screening call with the Talent Associate, an intro chat with the Head of Design, a short take-home design task, a design walkthrough and app critique, and a final team meeting with founders and the wider team.

Runna is committed to accommodating individual needs throughout the interview process, from scheduling flexibility to accessibility requirements.
