Product Designer
Atlassian
Atlassian’s mission is to unleash the potential of every team. Our products empower teams around the world to collaborate, create, and solve complex problems together. From Jira to Confluence, we’re designing tools that make teamwork more human, intuitive, and effective.
As a distributed-first company, Atlassians can choose where they work — from an office, home, or a mix of both. This role is remote but requires you to be based in Australia or New Zealand to collaborate effectively with the team.
The Team
Design at Atlassian is about creating clarity, connection, and joy in every experience. We’re building a unified ecosystem that seamlessly connects all our products, so teams can stay in flow and unlock the full power of our platform. AI sits at the heart of our approach, guiding us to create interactions that feel intelligent, helpful, and deeply human.
The Jira Frontier team focuses on improving how teams collaborate. We’re a cross-functional group of designers, product managers, marketers, engineers, and analysts united by a shared mission: helping customers work together more effectively.
The Role
As a Product Designer on the Jira Frontier team, you’ll tackle complex, impactful challenges that shape the future of collaboration. You’ll design, test, and iterate on experiences that drive connection and efficiency for teams using Jira around the world. This is a role for a designer who thrives in experimentation, loves to push creative boundaries, and is motivated by measurable impact.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work with experienced designers and cross-functional peers to evolve your craft and expand your influence. You’ll design to learn—experimenting, iterating, and validating ideas through user insights and data. You’ll contribute to a customer-centric vision for collaboration tools, shaping how teams communicate and align. Partnering with research and analytics, you’ll blend qualitative and quantitative insights to guide your design decisions.
What You’ll Bring
You have 3–5 years of product design experience, ideally in SaaS or product-led growth environments. You’re hands-on across the full design process—from early research and discovery to final implementation. You’re skilled in visual and interaction design, adept with Figma and design systems, and confident creating prototypes that communicate complex ideas clearly. You bring experience running usability tests, designing accessible products, and collaborating closely with engineers and product managers.
You think strategically about how design drives outcomes, but you’re also comfortable sweating the details that elevate the user experience. You thrive in environments that value curiosity, collaboration, and iteration.
Benefits
Atlassian offers a comprehensive range of perks designed to support you, your family, and your community. Benefits include health and wellbeing programs, generous paid volunteer days, and flexible working options.
Our Commitment
Atlassian is committed to building a workplace where everyone belongs. We believe diverse teams create stronger ideas and better products. We never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or disability status.
