Product Designer
CarbonChain
CarbonChain is a growing Series A startup tackling one of the most pressing problems of our time: the climate crisis. We see this as a transformative opportunity for the global economy and a rewarding career opportunity.
Decarbonising the economy requires a granular, real-time view of where emissions come from and how to reduce them. CarbonChain has built software to automate the carbon footprinting of supply chains so emissions can be measured and managed. Banks, traders, and manufacturers use the product to identify the most carbon-intensive parts of supply networks and find greener alternatives.
Having developed technology ahead of competitive solutions, CarbonChain is now heavily investing in market adoption. The team brings together expertise ranging from oil refining to deep learning, with experience at Amazon, JustEat, and global satellite monitoring.
About the Role
As a Product Designer, you’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to translate complex problems into elegant, user-centred solutions. You’ll refine existing features and design new ones, ensuring products are functional, accessible, and aligned with user needs and business goals.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in collaboration, enjoys solving real user problems, and is passionate about the craft of product design.

3–5+ years of experience in Product Design, ideally within tech. Startup or scaleup experience with a strong sense of urgency and ownership. Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Experience with design systems and contributing to libraries. Basic understanding of front-end development is a plus. Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design process across platforms.
What We’re Offering
28 days of annual leave. £500 home office set-up allowance. £2,000 annual learning allowance. Private healthcare. Generous parental leave policy. Weekly team lunches in the office. Subsidised gym classes, office gym, and cycle-to-work scheme.
CarbonChain is committed to building a diverse team and welcomes applicants from backgrounds less frequently represented in technology.
