Role Overview
As a Product Designer at Checkout.com, you will create intuitive and impactful financial products and payment experiences.
The role spans three product pillars. Payment Performance focuses on improving acceptance rates through fraud prevention and performance optimisation. Emerging Products develops new offerings that complement the core enterprise platform and are on the path to product-market fit. Financial Experiences builds modern tools for merchants to store, move, borrow and grow funds on the platform.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and Research to design high-quality, user-centred solutions that set a new standard for enterprise UX.
Responsibilities
You will work across the full design lifecycle, from understanding user needs and defining problems to delivering refined interaction and visual designs.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be central, building a shared understanding of goals, context and product vision. You will contribute to the team’s design direction, raising quality within your product space, and clearly communicate end-to-end experiences backed by data and customer insights.
Prototyping and validation will be part of your process, using the right tools and fidelity for each stage. You will produce production-ready specifications aligned with system patterns and constraints, manage priorities and timelines effectively, and participate in design critiques and feedback sessions.
Maintaining inclusive documentation will ensure transparency and collaboration across the team.
About You
You bring experience designing and shipping end-to-end features in an agile, collaborative environment.
Your skills span interaction design, visual design and product thinking, with the ability to balance user needs, business goals and technical constraints. You are confident in communicating and defending design decisions, selecting the right fidelity to explore and present ideas.
You are self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple initiatives while championing inclusive design practices and fostering a supportive team environment.
A growth mindset, openness to feedback and curiosity about new perspectives will help you thrive in this role.
