About the role

As a Product Designer at Degreed, you’ll play a pivotal role within the product team, partnering with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to deliver thoughtful, user-centred design solutions. You’ll collaborate with peers across multiple functions, contributing to cross-product initiatives and ensuring every design decision enhances the learner experience.

With 3–6 years of experience across various stages of the product design process, you’ll balance pixel-perfect execution with a growing understanding of the broader product vision.

Key responsibilities

You’ll work closely with PMs and Engineers to interpret product requirements, present multiple design solutions, and identify opportunities for improvement. You’ll create prototypes of varying fidelity, iterate based on team and user feedback, and contribute to user research planning.

You’ll demonstrate proficiency in interaction and visual design, producing clear, well-crafted work across multiple product areas. You’ll participate in design critiques, engage in collaborative discussions, and share progress regularly with both the design and product teams.

You’ll manage your time effectively, resolve blockers proactively, and ship work consistently—balancing autonomy with collaboration.

Key skills

You have a strong grasp of user-centred design principles and are proficient in Figma, staying current with evolving design trends and tools. You communicate and collaborate effectively across teams, articulating design decisions with clarity.

You’re confident throughout the full design process—from discovery and vision through to delivery—and you can translate complex product requirements into elegant, user-focused design solutions. You’re proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a distributed global team.
