Product Designer

Granola is building the next generation of AI-powered work tools. The team is focused on creating a multiplayer, multi-platform product that goes far beyond note-taking—something genuinely useful, fast, and designed for deep daily use. The founders are product-driven, design-led, and committed to building a team that cares about craft, empathy, and experimentation.

The Opportunity

This is a founding-level design role. You’ll be the first full-time in-person designer shaping the product, brand, processes, and long-term design culture. You’ll work directly with both founders and the engineering team to invent new interaction patterns, refine craft, and help define what AI-powered productivity tools should feel like.

What You’ll Do

You’ll design alongside the founders, working on early concepts and shipping features tightly with engineers. You’ll elevate the polish, motion, and craft of a product people use for hours at a time. You’ll spend meaningful time with users every week to understand real workflows, test ideas, and inform product decisions. You’ll move fluidly between fast exploration and meticulous execution, prototyping in Figma or code and iterating quickly. You’ll help evolve the brand and design language across Mac, iOS, and web.

Who You Are

You’ve spent several years shipping beautifully crafted products and can operate at a senior or staff-level. You think in systems and have experience with open-ended tools, not just linear flows. You know when to be scrappy and when to obsess over details. Prototyping comes naturally to you, and you’re excited about experimenting with code and the newest AI tools. You care deeply about what ships. You’re comfortable designing across multiple platforms and you value being in-person with the team.
