Product Designer

Lendable

Lendable is on a mission to make consumer finance faster, cheaper, and friendlier. We’re one of the UK’s newest unicorns with over 600 people and have been profitable since 2017. Backed by Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs, we’re among the UK’s fastest-growing tech companies, loved by customers with a 4.9 Trustpilot rating across tens of thousands of reviews.

We’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products — loans, credit cards, and car finance — from the ground up. Now we’re expanding fast across the UK and US, challenging outdated banking systems with smarter, faster, more human experiences.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our growing team at Zable (Lendable). As the fifth member of our Product Design team, you’ll report to the Group Product Manager and take ownership across a wide scope — from user research and prototyping to visual design and usability testing.

You’ll work on multiple products, including the Zable app (used by over a million people), the Lendable loans website, and our US credit card and loan products. You’ll shape product vision, define goals, and collaborate with developers to design features that enhance usability, consistency, and delight.

The ideal candidate

You have at least 3 years of product design experience, ideally in fintech or a startup, with hands-on experience designing mobile apps. You’re confident owning the design of a full product area, have a strong process from discovery through to implementation, and are fully customer-centric in your approach.

You’re a collaborative team player who gives and receives feedback well and contributes positively to a growing design team.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define product goals and key features. You’ll conduct user research, design wireframes, prototypes, and user flows, and run usability testing to iterate based on insights.

You’ll maintain a consistent visual language, uphold the design system, and partner with developers to implement features that optimise the user experience. You’ll also contribute to improving design processes, ensuring the team works efficiently and cohesively.

Experience with UX writing is a bonus.

How you’ll contribute

You’ll champion user-centred design principles, ensuring every product is intuitive and accessible. You’ll combine strong interaction and visual design skills to create engaging, high-quality interfaces. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining and evolving the design system to promote a cohesive brand identity and faster workflows.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers and engineers, run usability testing, and iterate based on feedback. You’ll stay up to date with design trends and advocate for design thinking across the company — helping build a strong, user-first culture at Lendable.

Interview process

You’ll start with CV screening, followed by an introductory call with the Talent Team or hiring manager. You’ll then complete a take-home exercise and debrief session with the hiring manager (45 minutes).

Final interviews take place in person at our London office and include three 30-minute sessions with other designers, the Group PM, and our CPO.

Life at Lendable

You’ll have the opportunity to scale one of the world’s most successful fintechs, with best-in-class compensation including equity. You can work from home on Mondays and Fridays, with in-office collaboration Tuesday to Thursday at our Shoreditch office.

Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks on office days. We provide private health insurance and are committed to building one of the most inclusive and open workspaces in London.
