Product Designer

Metalab

Metalab is looking for a Product Designer to join their fully remote team. They design, build, and ship products for companies like Slack, Uber, Coinbase, and Suno. Their work spans early-stage startup launches to innovative enterprise tech.

In this role, you’ll balance form and function while solving real problems for clients and users. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams from the earliest product research all the way to final visual delivery. If you're passionate about creating high-quality products in a flexible, creative environment, this role could be a great fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll collaborate with your team to design and build digital products you’re proud of. You’ll apply design thinking throughout the full product lifecycle, from research and wireframes to prototyping and final UI. You’ll actively contribute to design critiques, brainstorms, and reviews to elevate the work and keep things moving forward.

What They’re Looking For

You should have at least three years of product design experience and a strong portfolio that shows your strengths in both UX and visual design. Experience in prototyping and interaction design is essential. You’ll need to be confident turning complex research, flows, and goals into intuitive interfaces.

They're looking for someone who keeps up with design best practices and trends, and who can clearly communicate design rationale to both clients and internal teams. You should thrive on feedback and be excited to improve both your work and how the team collaborates.

A Note on Inclusivity

Metalab is an equal opportunity employer. They encourage anyone who’s excited by the role to apply, even if you don’t meet every single requirement. They’re committed to building an inclusive, diverse environment where people of all backgrounds are valued.
