Product Designer

Scale is expanding its Global International Public Sector team, focusing on work outside the United States. This includes building custom models, delivering high-quality training data for research institutions creating LLMs, and partnering with governments for upskilling and advisory projects.

The role involves designing AI-powered solutions for governments and state-owned companies, covering the full design process from concept to delivery. You’ll work on production use cases that use AI to improve government operations, with a focus on high-impact, transformative projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the design process from initial concepts to final products.

Create advanced AI-powered applications using the latest technology.

Collaborate closely with Applied AI Engineers to prototype and iterate.

Engage directly with end users to collect insights and refine designs.

Travel monthly to meet customers and understand needs in depth.

Minimum Qualifications

At least three years of post-graduation product design experience.

Willingness and ability to travel to the Middle East for one to two weeks each month.

Portfolio including at least one software interface design project.

Strong communication skills for direct customer engagement.

Experience managing full design lifecycles from ideation to launch.

Background in B2B enterprise product design, particularly for desktop interfaces.

Proficiency in Figma, product thinking, interaction design, and visual design.

Understanding of AI and machine learning for UI design in AI-powered applications.

Ideal Qualifications

Experience in a startup or forward-deployed role, or initiative in personal projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, another quantitative field, or equivalent engineering experience.

Proficiency in reading and writing Arabic.

Experience designing AI products, ideally with Generative AI models.
