Senior Product Designer

This is a U.S.-based remote position. Employees in the San Francisco Bay Area are encouraged to come into the office one day per week.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of AllTrails.

You'll join a close-knit product design team and report to a Design Director. Working across product, engineering, research, content, and marketing, you’ll help design intuitive, beautiful experiences that make exploring the outdoors even more accessible.

This role spans multiple surfaces—from trail discovery to growth initiatives—and calls for high craft in visual, interaction, and interface design.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing intuitive features across web, iOS, and Android

• Leading projects from research to execution

• Owning end-to-end product design work with a user-first mindset

• Helping evolve and contribute to our design system

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams

• Balancing strategic thinking with hands-on design

• Supporting team culture through feedback and collaboration

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7 years of experience designing for consumer iOS, Android, and web products

• Strong product sensibility and polished UX, visual, and interaction design

• Proven experience collaborating with PMs and engineers

• Confidence working independently and managing your own projects

• Experience using data, research, and usability testing to inform design

• Comfort with accessibility, internationalisation, and inclusive design practices

• Humble, empathetic communicator who seeks feedback often

• A natural at using AI tools to boost productivity and creativity

Nice to Have

• Experience working at both startups and larger companies

• Previous work in growth design or on growth-focused teams

Salary

$157,500 – $177,500 USD per year

Starting salary will depend on your experience, skills, and the needs of the business. Most hires start below the top of the salary range.
