About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who combines systems thinking, design precision, and curiosity about the future of human–AI collaboration. You’ll drive end-to-end product design—from research and ideation to high-fidelity delivery—partnering closely with product managers and engineers to shape developer workflows that feel intuitive, scalable, and deeply human.

You’ll be part of a small, fast-moving team shaping the standards for how AI integrates into the daily lives of software developers.

What You’ll Do

Lead end-to-end design for developer-focused products, from discovery to delivery.

Conduct user research and discovery to understand developer needs, workflows, and pain points.

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify insights and translate them into meaningful design opportunities.

Facilitate story-mapping and ideation workshops to align teams on goals and solutions.

Design user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes in Figma that balance usability and scalability.

Maintain and evolve Coder’s design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and polish across the platform.

Define how AI and humans collaborate within developer tools—building experiences that enhance productivity without compromising control.

What You’ll Bring

3+ years of end-to-end product design experience in the software industry.

Strong foundation in UX principles and a proven ability to simplify complex systems.

Experience working independently within cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills.

Curiosity about AI design, and enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies in developer tooling.

A balance of research, craft, and systems thinking—from broad vision to pixel-level detail.

Bonus

Experience with mixed-methods research—journey mapping, interviews, usability testing.

Familiarity with developer tools such as GitHub, VS Code, or JetBrains.

Experience designing IDEs, CLIs, or code-centric workflows.

Background in maintaining design tokens, accessibility standards, and design systems.
