Candidates in the US are eligible to apply, with priority given to those within commuting distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn office. For local employees, in-office attendance is expected once or twice weekly.

What’s the team like?

Product designers at Etsy work in focused squads with a product manager, 4–6 engineers, a researcher, and a data analyst. Together, they own part of the Etsy customer experience and iterate quickly based on direct customer feedback.

What does the day-to-day look like?

You’ll create intuitive user flows and polished prototypes that bring the product roadmap to life.

You’ll design at a systems level, contributing to and evolving Etsy’s design system for consistency and scale.

You’ll share your work with peers and leadership, collaborating closely with engineers to ship high-quality work.

You’ll mentor other designers, offering clear and actionable feedback in critiques and meetings.

You’ll help onboard new designers and contribute to an engaged, collaborative design culture.

This list is just a starting point—you’ll likely take on other tasks as part of your evolving role at Etsy.

A strong portfolio demonstrating your grasp of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and system thinking.

Experience designing for iOS and Android native apps, with examples of cross-platform thinking.
