Senior Product Designer

PhysicsX

PhysicsX is a deep-tech company born out of numerical physics and Formula One, building an AI-driven simulation stack that helps engineers design and optimise hardware with software-level speed. Their customers span Aerospace, Defense, Materials, Energy, Semiconductors, and Automotive — all industries where engineers need powerful tools to push boundaries.

The Opportunity

This role sits right at the intersection of AI, simulation, and complex enterprise workflows. You’ll shape interfaces used by expert users like mechanical engineers and data scientists, often designing for high-density, high-stakes environments. You’ll work on both 2D and 3D interfaces, translating deeply technical workflows into something clear, navigable, and effective.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead discovery work, running research to understand intricate engineering processes. You’ll turn those insights into wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs that simplify complex decision-making. You’ll define scalable design systems that work across products and collaborate with simulation engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to make sure your work is both intuitive and technically feasible. You’ll iterate quickly based on research, feedback, and analytics, while helping elevate design quality across the organisation.

What You Bring

You have 5+ years of product design experience with enterprise-grade products and a strong portfolio that shows depth in complex UX challenges. You understand how to design for advanced users and specialised workflows. You’re comfortable working across both 2D and 3D interfaces and fluent in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. You communicate clearly, collaborate well across functions, and know how to explain design rationale to diverse technical audiences.

Bonus

Experience with tools like Blender, Houdini, or Unity3D, any exposure to AI/ML-powered applications, or experience designing for engineers, scientists, or other specialist users.
