Senior Product Designer

ProblemShared

ProblemShared is a practitioner-led, CQC-regulated digital mind health provider, founded in 2020. We broaden access to high-quality care across the UK through a community of expert practitioners, offering therapy, psychiatry, neurodevelopmental assessments, and post-diagnosis support. By combining people, data, and technology, we empower individuals to take the next step in their mental health or neurodevelopmental journey.

We partner with the NHS, insurers, and universities to deliver care for adults, children, and young people. With a team of over 350 colleagues, our mission is to use scalable digital solutions to close gaps in mental healthcare and improve outcomes.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who is strong in UX and polished in UI. You will design intuitive, user-centric experiences across clinician and client-facing web applications, applying design thinking and human-centred methods. This role involves prioritising effectively, managing stakeholder expectations, and balancing user needs with business goals.

You will lead design projects, conduct research and usability testing, create user personas and journey maps, and deliver high-quality UI designs including prototypes and design systems. You will also help evolve and maintain ProblemShared’s design system, mentor within the design team, and champion best practices across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in product design with a strong UX foundation and strong UI craft.
Proficiency in Figma, including design systems and prototyping.
Experience building and scaling design systems.
Experience in design ops and handoff processes.
Ability to work in lean, fast-moving environments.
Strong experience in user research and usability testing.
Background in B2C environments, ideally with knowledge of nudge theory.
Competence in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Passion for creating experiences that meet diverse user needs, including neurodiverse users.
Understanding of behavioural psychology and human-centric design.
Skilled in facilitating workshops and driving creative collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple projects and iterate quickly from feedback.

Desirable experience includes working in regulated environments, working with health-related products, and operating at a senior level within start-ups or scale-ups.

What We Offer

Competitive salary.
Employer-matched pension.
30 days annual leave plus public holidays, with options to buy or sell additional leave.
Private health insurance.
Enhanced family-friendly policies.
Flexible working, with optional co-working space.
Company and team meet-ups.
Access to wellbeing activities and personal development opportunities.
One volunteering day per year.

Recruitment Process

ProblemShared values potential as much as experience. We take time to understand your motivations, not just your CV, and we aim to provide a fair and inclusive recruitment process.

The process includes an initial conversation with recruitment, followed by an interview and design task with our Product team. If successful, you’ll progress to offer and pre-employment checks. We offer adjustments to support all applicants throughout.

Right to Work

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. ProblemShared does not offer visa sponsorship, and we cannot accept applications from outside the UK.
