About the Role

The Core UX team at Twitch owns and maintains the Twitch Design System, supporting the company’s cross-platform live streaming service. As Senior UX Designer, you will lead the evolution and maintenance of the design system with a focus on mobile libraries, human-system interaction, and visual standards. This is a high-impact role, influencing consistency and efficiency across the product, mentoring junior designers, and representing design system strategy to leadership.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with designers and engineers to evolve Twitch’s design system and visual language.
Lead the creation and refinement of mobile UI components and libraries, ensuring high standards for craft, accessibility, and consistency.
Translate design principles into clear documentation and guidelines for adoption across teams.
Partner with Creative and UX Design to align visual expression with Twitch’s brand identity.
Lead workshops and working sessions with product teams.
Contribute to the strategic roadmap for the design system’s growth.
Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design practices.
Participate in design reviews and QA processes to ensure fidelity and consistency.

About You

5+ years of experience building and scaling design systems in digital product environments, with an emphasis on mobile.
A portfolio that shows systematic thinking and strong visual craft.
Deep understanding of design system governance and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Proficiency in Figma and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or After Effects.
Familiarity with iOS and Android operating systems.
Experience using documentation platforms like Storybook or Zeroheight, and working with design tokens.
Strong communicator, confident presenting system decisions to diverse audiences.

Bonus Points

Specialisation or interest in icon design, 3D design, or illustration.
Experience developing visual asset systems for multi-platform use.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $127,100 – $211,600 USD per year, depending on location and experience.
