Senior UX Designer

Redpanda Data is building the future of streaming data and is seeking a Senior UX Designer to craft intuitive, end-to-end experiences that empower people to connect their data, unlock insights, and create with AI. Reporting to the Head of Design, you’ll partner closely with engineers, product managers, and leadership to design solutions that simplify complex technologies while driving vision, processes, and strategy across the design team.

Responsibilities

Gather product requirements and lead the design process from concept to polished user experiences.
Collaborate with engineers and product managers to build prototypes and raise product fit and finish.
Evolve the internal design system to ensure quality and consistency.
Conduct both quantitative and qualitative user research to inform decisions.
Mentor cross-functional stakeholders to foster product quality.
Design products used daily by thousands of customers around the world.

Requirements

5+ years of UX design experience, ideally in complex SaaS products or developer tools.
Intermediate front-end development knowledge for building prototypes and contributing code.
Proficiency with Figma or AI design tools.
Experience running quantitative and qualitative user research.
Strong collaboration skills across marketing, engineering, and product.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, distributed teams.

Compensation

U.S. base salary range is $141,000 – $210,000 (CA, NY, WA) and $135,000 – $201,000 (other locations). Salary depends on role, level, location, and experience.
