Senior UX Designer, AI

Workday

Workday was founded on a simple idea over breakfast — to reinvent enterprise software by putting people first. Since then, we’ve grown with that same focus, creating a culture where employee happiness, development, and contribution are at the heart of everything.

Our people-first approach drives both our business success and the energy that makes Workday unique.

The Team

You’ll join the AI Experiences team — one of our most exciting new areas. We’re building intuitive, trustworthy AI features that empower users and set a new standard in enterprise software.

From intelligent assistants to agentic tools, we’re focused on making AI feel familiar, human, and helpful for over 60 million users worldwide.

This team also leads centralised patterns for AI UX across the platform, helping shape how AI is experienced across all of Workday.

The Role

As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll work closely with product and design partners to create world-class AI experiences.

You’ll join our 50+ person UX team in Dublin — part of a global team of 180+ designers and researchers — and design for scale across our full product ecosystem.

You’ll be instrumental in designing AI interactions that are intuitive, responsible, and built for real enterprise needs.

What to Expect

You’ll design for millions of users globally, with a customer-first mindset that drives everything we do.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team with a strong growth mindset — where coaching, mentorship, and learning are built into the day-to-day.

We offer a supportive, flexible environment that values individuality and inclusion.

You'll get a competitive salary, strong benefits, and a work culture that supports parents and caregivers.

About You

You’re an experienced designer who thrives on complexity and loves simplifying it.

You’re skilled at creating interactions that align with real mental models and build trust — especially in emerging areas like AI.

You think in taxonomies and ontologies. You can map complexity, create structure, and shape flows that feel natural to users.

You’re a strong storyteller who can align stakeholders and communicate design decisions with clarity.

You bring people with you — whether it’s product managers, developers, or fellow designers.

What You’ll Bring

You’ve got at least seven years of industry experience, including two years working on AI-related products.

You hold a degree in design, HCI, library science, computer science, or something similar — or bring equivalent practical experience.

Your portfolio shows your ability to design clear, usable, visually refined interfaces — and your approach to solving complex problems.

You’re comfortable with tools like Figma and experienced in prototyping AI workflows.

You’ve designed for real people and understand the responsibility of designing for emerging tech like generative AI.

You’re collaborative, curious, and always looking to make the experience better.

Flex Work at Workday

We believe the best work happens with both flexibility and connection.

With our Flex Work approach, you’ll spend at least 50% of each quarter in-office or with customers — the rest is up to you and your team.

Remote roles are welcome to gather in-office for moments that matter — whether it’s workshops, team offsites, or co-creation sessions.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Workday, inclusion, belonging, and equity aren’t just values — they’re central to how we build our teams.

Everyone is welcome here. Whoever you are, however you identify, we want you to feel safe and supported to do your best work.

We also provide accommodations during the hiring process — just let us know how we can help.
