About the Team
The Product Design team defines, creates, and delivers all user-facing aspects of Stripe’s brand and product. Designers are strategic partners to Engineering and Product Management, shaping user experiences and translating them into high-quality designs that can be tested, shipped, and refined.
The Dashboard team ensures Stripe works seamlessly for every merchant, regardless of size or which products they use. The goal: make Stripe feel like it was built just for them.
Role Description
As a Staff Product Designer, you will help build and enhance the Stripe Dashboard by designing, concepting, and prototyping high-quality core dashboard and product experiences. You’ll connect business goals to product opportunities, shape product vision, and raise the bar for design craft company-wide.
Responsibilities
Connect business goals to product opportunities and define a compelling product vision
Collaborate across design, product, and leadership to shape strategy and align roadmaps
Present work regularly to leadership, synthesizing feedback to refine solutions
Champion craft and product excellence through example
Communicate ideas through high-fidelity prototypes and compelling storytelling
Develop scalable design frameworks that raise the bar for craft across Stripe
Requirements
10+ years of relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company
Skilled at independently turning ambiguous problems into clear, cohesive visions
Experienced partnering closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams
Able to distill complexity into simple, intuitive solutions
Adept at translating business objectives into customer-centered design opportunities
Confident presenting to leadership and skilled at design storytelling
Strong visual design and craft skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience balancing bold vision with incremental rollouts
Background mentoring or leading peers and junior designers
Compensation
US base salary range: $206,900 – $310,300 annually. Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus, 401(k), medical, dental and vision coverage, and wellness stipends.
Work Setup
This role can be office-based (Seattle, New York, South San Francisco) or remote in the US. Office-assigned employees spend at least 50% of their time each month in-office or with users. Remote employees work primarily from home but may attend in-person events, off-sites, or team meet-ups.
