The Role

We’re on the lookout for a Staff Product Designer to join our FinCrime tooling team in London.

You’ll be designing internal products for our global customer base and Wise’s operations agents — with a focus on detecting and preventing financial crimes like fraud, scams, and money laundering.

FinCrime agents are on the frontlines of cybercrime, identifying suspicious behaviour and keeping our platform safe.

In this role, you’ll work closely with product, engineering, and data partners to transform complex workflows into user-friendly tools. You’ll also create scalable components that support a wide variety of use cases.

It’s a unique opportunity to design industry-leading systems that protect customers and fight financial crime — all while directly contributing to our mission of money without borders.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll build a deep understanding of Wise customers and what they need.

You’ll also learn how financial crime evolves and how our internal agents work to tackle it.

You’ll speak directly with agents to understand their challenges and build empathy.

You’ll use your full Product Design toolkit to create simple, crafted experiences that improve safety while keeping tools intuitive.

You’ll play a leading role in your cross-functional team — raising design quality and driving a more customer-focused culture.

About You

You have a portfolio of thoughtful, well-crafted work that solves real problems.

You’re comfortable designing from first principles and have experience creating internal tools.

You default to prototyping when sharing your ideas, exploring multiple directions and clearly explaining the trade-offs.

You use early concepts to test assumptions and build confidence before committing to a solution.

You’re experienced with design systems and know how to scale them.

You practise evidence-based design and can clearly articulate your decisions.
