UX Designer

The UX Community team designs the experiences that shape how streamers create and how viewers engage, supporting the growth and health of streamer-led communities across the platform. The role sits at the core of Twitch’s ecosystem, building cross-platform experiences that millions interact with every day.

As a UX Designer on this team, you’ll lead project-level design work and collaborate with senior partners across product, engineering, and research. You’ll take part in the entire lifecycle of development — from early exploration and hands-on research to refining interaction patterns and delivering polished, purposeful product experiences. The work spans content discovery, engagement, community growth features, and tools that help streamers create, connect, and thrive.

Your day-to-day will involve learning directly from streamers and viewers, turning their needs into insights that guide design direction. You’ll shape thoughtful, human-centred solutions that sustain communities, using qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions. The role involves presenting work in design reviews, contributing to design culture, and helping improve patterns and approaches across the broader team. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional peers and mentor junior designers where needed.

You should bring experience designing for consumer products, especially in areas like content discovery or engagement. A strong interaction design foundation, comfort with prototyping mobile experiences, and confidence in visual craft are essential. Empathy for creators and viewers, fluency in Figma, and an ability to make clear, informed design decisions are key to success here. Experience working with real customer research, knowledge of design systems, or formal UX/HCI education are helpful additions.
