Senior Product Designer

Upway

Upway is building software that spans the entire e-bike lifecycle, from sourcing bikes globally to refurbishing them in UpCenters and selling them online to customers who may be buying an e-bike for the first time. As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll help shape experiences in an industry that historically hasn’t invested heavily in design, but is now evolving rapidly.

You’ll work across a broad and complex product surface that includes supply tools for individual sellers and retailers, internal operational systems used daily by refurbishment teams, and a global e-commerce platform focused on trust, discovery, and conversion. The work balances B2B and B2C challenges, requiring strong systems thinking and the ability to simplify workflows that support both novice users and experienced professionals.

Problem-solving sits at the heart of the role. You’ll tackle ambiguous challenges that go beyond polished UI, applying deep UX thinking to define the right problems and design scalable solutions. You’ll hold a high bar for craft across visual design, UX, and copywriting, while actively raising design quality across the product.

Discovery is a core part of the job. You’ll develop strong empathy for users by engaging directly with them, whether that means visiting bike shops, shadowing mechanics in UpCenters, or interviewing first-time e-bike buyers. These insights will inform both short-term improvements and long-term product vision.

You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional partners to improve collaboration and evolve how design operates at Upway. You’ll own the design vision for your areas, thinking long-term, making bold decisions, and clearly communicating where the product should go next.

This role is suited to a designer with at least four years of product design experience and a proven track record across both B2B and B2C products. Strong craft, curiosity, empathy, and collaboration skills are essential, along with fluency in English for working with international teams. French is a plus but not required.

The role is based in Paris, where you’ll join a product group consisting of Product Managers, another Product Designer, and a large engineering team. Upway offers stock options, visa sponsorship, and relocation support, along with significant ownership, learning opportunities, and the chance to work on a product driving sustainable mobility at global scale.
