UX Designer,

YouTube is looking for a UX Designer to help shape the future of Channel Memberships, the platform’s creator monetization program that connects creators with their fans through exclusive perks and experiences.

In this role, you’ll join a collaborative, cross-functional team that blends creativity, data, and technology to build tools that empower millions of creators and engage billions of users. You’ll take complex systems—like payments, memberships, and creator tools—and turn them into seamless, intuitive experiences that feel distinctly YouTube.

You’ll work from concept through execution: researching user needs, sketching flows, prototyping ideas, and designing polished interfaces that balance creativity, usability, and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 4+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, or UX design

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking, interaction design craft, and high-quality product work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams

  • 1+ year of experience leading or mentoring within design projects

  • Experience designing across multiple platforms (web, mobile, responsive)

  • Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with GenAI design tools

  • Ability to create user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that communicate ideas clearly and effectively

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define problems and design solutions for YouTube’s Channel Memberships ecosystem

  • Create design artifacts—wireframes, user flows, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes—to communicate your ideas across different stages of fidelity

  • Apply and evolve the Google design language to craft experiences that feel native to YouTube’s ecosystem

  • Integrate user research, data insights, and business goals into your design decisions

  • Advocate for design excellence and help prioritize UX-driven refinements and improvements

  • Iterate quickly, test ideas with real users, and continuously refine based on feedback
