
UX Designer II

Amazon Web Services is hiring a UX Designer II to help shape the design of software solutions that impact millions of users worldwide. In this role, you’ll collaborate with product owners, developers, and other designers to create user-centred, scalable design solutions for complex systems and applications.
You’ll own end-to-end design execution, from early-stage concepts through to implementation, balancing business goals with an intuitive user experience. This role requires a strong understanding of user behaviour, data-driven design, and effective communication across teams and disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Design large-scale, user-focused solutions for AWS platforms and products.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and design partners to deliver high-quality, scalable experiences.
Analyse data and user behaviour to inform design decisions and improve usability.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed visual designs using tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Axure, or other prototyping platforms.
Maintain and refine design systems, guidelines, and strategies across multiple projects.
Present and defend design solutions to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving project needs.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Digital Communications Design, Visual Arts, Mass Communications, Art, or a related field.
One year of experience as a UX Designer, Information Architect, or a related role (three years of experience may substitute for a degree).
Experience designing scalable, dynamic user interfaces for multi-tiered platforms.
Proficiency with wireframing and design tools such as Axure, Photoshop, or equivalent prototyping software.
Experience collaborating closely with developers and product teams to deliver production-ready designs.
Ability to communicate and rationalize design decisions across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of UX principles, visual design, and interaction design.
Experience applying web design standards and accessibility best practices.
Comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
