Job Overview

OnBuy is seeking a talented and user-focused UX Designer to shape the experience of its online marketplace. The role involves understanding user needs, behaviours, and motivations and translating insights into seamless and engaging user interfaces.

The UX Designer will collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and Graphic Designers to deliver solutions that meet user expectations while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Design intuitive user experiences by balancing customer insights, business goals, and technical constraints.
Gather and evaluate user requirements with cross-functional teams.
Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and mock-ups for web and mobile applications.
Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs.
Stay up to date with UX trends, tools, and best practices.
Deliver journey designs to Product and Development teams in line with Agile methodologies.

Requirements

Proven experience in a UX role within a fast-paced scale-up or tech environment.
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design processes.
Understanding of e-commerce UX best practices.
Experience running workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge of usability testing methodologies and user-centred principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic front-end development.
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

Salary range of £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience.
