This role sits within the Venmo Core P2P team, which is responsible for refining and developing peer-to-peer payment experiences used by millions.
About the Role
As a UX Designer 2 at Venmo, you’ll help create cohesive and meaningful end-to-end user experiences. You’ll work with fellow designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape how users interact with mobile payments, with a strong focus on user-centred thinking.
You’ll help design new and improved ways for users to discover, request, send, and receive money inside the Venmo app.
Responsibilities
You’ll collaborate with teams to ensure user needs are met and assist in developing design concepts that align with business goals.
You’ll create wireframes, prototypes, and polished design deliverables, iterating based on stakeholder and user feedback.
You’ll contribute to design reviews, refine your work based on technical and product considerations, and help maintain a high standard of execution.
You’ll partner with researchers to gather insights from usability tests, interviews, and surveys, then use that data to improve the overall experience.
You’ll also play a role in optimising internal design processes and working with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life.
Minimum Requirements
You should have at least 2 years of relevant design experience, including work on mobile platforms.
You’ll need strong visual and interaction design skills, a user-centred mindset, and familiarity with user research methods.
You should be confident using Figma and design systems, and capable of prototyping your ideas and presenting them clearly.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are key, and you should feel comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in fintech, financial products, social apps, or merchant services is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills are ideal.
Salary and Work Model
The US national salary range for this role is $100,500 to $173,250, depending on experience and location. Compensation may include a performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
PayPal operates a hybrid model, with three days in the office and two days remote for most employees.
