Lepaya

Through its Portal, Academies, and App, Lepaya delivers blended learning programs used by global companies such as KPMG, ING, Just Eat Takeaway, Dell, and BCG. Backed by over $80M in funding, Lepaya is on a mission to become the world’s leading upskilling platform.
Lepaya is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join the team for a 10-month maternity cover. This is a high-impact temporary role where you will take full ownership of the design strategy and execution for one of Lepaya’s most critical products, the Lepaya Client Portal. The role is open to both freelancers and temporary contract designers.
You will be embedded in a dedicated product squad, working closely with a Product Manager and Engineers and driving a Lean UX approach. The role covers the full product lifecycle, from discovery and research through to hands-on design, delivery, and iteration. You will be responsible for designing and evolving complex enterprise workflows that empower global clients and scale across multiple user types.
In this role, you will balance business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints to propose effective user flows, interactions, and interfaces. You will conduct and synthesize user research, journey mapping, usability testing, and behaviour-driven design to inform decisions. Strong planning and organisational skills are essential, as you will manage multiple priorities, timelines, and dependencies within an Agile environment.
You will design end-to-end user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces for major feature releases within the Client Portal. Working hands-on with Engineering, you will ensure accessible, scalable implementation while contributing patterns and documentation to Lepaya’s evolving design system. Maintaining consistency across UX, UI, and brand experience throughout the Client Portal will be a key responsibility.
The ideal candidate has over four years of UX/UI design experience, strong mastery of Figma and prototyping tools, and a portfolio demonstrating effective web-based enterprise or SaaS products. Experience with design systems, component libraries, and close collaboration with engineers is essential. A strong visual design sensibility, combined with research-led decision making, is highly valued.
Experience using AI-powered prototyping tools, data analytics platforms such as Amplitude or Google Analytics, and UX copywriting principles is considered a plus.
Lepaya offers a flexible hybrid working setup, with an expectation of working from the Amsterdam office at least two days per week. Benefits include unlimited holidays, Lepaya Fridays every other week, flexible working hours, the ability to work remotely for up to eight weeks per year, access to wellbeing support, and continuous learning through the Lepaya Academy and internal career development programs.
Lepaya is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment where all backgrounds and perspectives are valued. The hiring process focuses on creating a smooth, transparent candidate experience, with multiple touchpoints designed to get to know candidates both professionally and personally.
