
Product Designer
CareMessage
areMessage is seeking a Product Designer responsible for designing innovative solutions that delight customers and help them achieve their goals in the application. This role is part of the Product Development team and reports to the Director of Product. You will collaborate closely across teams including Sales, Engineering and Customer Success to deliver solutions to users’ most pressing problems. As part of a product-led company, you will co-own the user lifecycle from end to end — engaging directly with customers, facilitating brainstorming sessions, presenting mockups, testing designs, and partnering with engineering to execute and deliver.

You are a self-starter who is detail-oriented and agile, asking the important questions to understand the true nature of problems. You bring a collaborative approach to your work, assume good intentions of others, and have a track record of designing solutions for B2B health technology companies. You are motivated by understanding “why” and can clearly communicate design improvements. Comfortable interfacing with both customers and technical team members, you bring empathy, strong listening skills, and the ability to effectively communicate your needs while moving the team forward sustainably.
What You’ll Achieve
In your first month, you will learn the product, build a basic understanding of user needs, explore the market landscape, and become familiar with the design tools and elements used across the app. Within three months, you will gain deeper knowledge of customers, competitors, and integrations, begin designing solutions to urgent customer needs, and use data to develop hypotheses for improving user experience and retention. By six months, you will own the design execution for a core product area, contribute to roadmap planning, and represent design within your product area by clearly communicating decisions and aligning work with broader strategy and branding.
Responsibilities
You will own the solution development process for PRDs, creating process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups. You will lead usability studies, clearly communicate design decisions and specifications, and partner with engineers and product managers on functionality, interactions, and interfaces. You will ensure consistent application of the CareMessage brand across projects, maintain and develop the Design System, and collaborate across teams to deliver consistent messaging. Regular engagement with customers will help you maintain a strong understanding of their needs and evaluate product designs. You will also support product roadmap priorities, contribute to triaging feedback, and track key user experience KPIs.
Requirements
Candidates should have a modern digital portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful, consistent design across a product and company. A minimum of three years’ experience in a SaaS product design role is required, with a track record of designing effective web-based products for B2B companies. Proficiency in modern vector-based design tools such as Figma or Sketch is essential.
