About the Team

You will join the Monetization and Growth team, where design directly drives business outcomes. The team focuses on subscriptions, pricing, payments, onboarding, and retention—treating growth as a design challenge rather than just a numbers game. The team is distributed across Europe and Asia, with strong hubs in Hong Kong and London.

About the Role

This role is focused on creating user-centric design that makes Goodnotes more valuable and accessible to more people, while maintaining trust and brand alignment. You will own parts of the monetization journey from onboarding through subscriptions, billing, and retention, designing flows that improve activation, conversion, and retention.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and marketers to test ideas, run experiments, and ship improvements that move the business forward.

Responsibilities

You will design clear, user-friendly flows that drive conversions and retention. You will create design variations for experiments, translate behavioral data into design solutions, and identify UX friction points to resolve.

The role involves building scalable frameworks and patterns, working with cross-functional teams to move quickly from idea to launch, and advocating for user trust through transparent design choices.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least 3 years of product design experience, ideally on consumer or growth teams. Strong visual and interaction design skills, experience designing end-to-end flows, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally are essential.

Curiosity about how design influences behavior and metrics, comfort with experimentation, and the ability to frame insights into compelling narratives are also key.

Nice to Have

Experience with growth initiatives such as activation, retention, or monetization is an advantage, as is familiarity with subscriptions, payments, or onboarding flows. Knowledge of tools like Amplitude, Looker, Braze, Intercom, or AppsFlyer is beneficial.

Interview Process

The process includes an introductory call, a portfolio review with the Head of Design, a portfolio deep-dive with designers and cross-functional partners, a call with the Monetization team, and a whiteboard session with the design team.
