Product Designer
Yonder
Yonder is building the financial membership of the future — combining credit and debit in one membership that’s fair, flexible, and enjoyable. With no jargon and no outdated points systems, Yonder offers rewards that actually feel rewarding, from dining out to travel experiences.
In September 2024, Yonder raised £23.4M to expand the team, grow rewards, and scale beyond the UK. Design plays a central role in this journey, shaping how members trust Yonder with their money and how financial tools can feel simple, clear, and fun.
The Role
This is Yonder’s third product design hire, joining the Head of Design and a Principal Designer. You’ll be embedded in a small squad with a PM and two engineers, working on either Growth & Activation (sign-up, onboarding, and new member experience) or Member Value (everyday spending and building Yonder as a member’s most relied-on account).
You’ll be responsible for turning broad, ambiguous challenges into simple, delightful experiences. You’ll run your own research, speak directly with members, and bring insights into shaping flows, prototypes, and polished features. Collaboration is at the core — you’ll work shoulder to shoulder with your squad to make sure solutions feel cohesive and impactful. You’ll also play a role in maintaining and evolving Yonder’s design system to balance speed with quality.
About You
You have a few years of experience shipping consumer-facing products, ideally at a startup, and understand how to adapt designs once they’re in the wild. You’re a design generalist comfortable switching hats across UX, UI, research, and content, with a strong eye for detail and craftsmanship. You thrive on talking to users, testing ideas early, and collaborating openly with PMs and engineers.
You care about impact over output, track the effectiveness of your work, and balance scrappy testing with polished execution. You’re also excited to experiment with new tools and approaches, including AI, to sharpen your work.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £56,000 to £74,000 depending on experience, alongside £36,000 to £61,000 in stock options. Benefits include 35 days holiday, private healthcare with Vitality, 16 weeks enhanced parental leave after one year, financial coaching, a learning and training allowance, regular team breakfasts and events, cycle-to-work scheme, and fresh coffee served in the Hoxton office.
Working at Yonder
Yonder is an office-first company, based in Hoxton with a collaborative, values-led culture. Expect to spend at least three days a week in the office, with everyone in on Mondays. The team works hard, moves quickly, and embraces collaboration across design, product, and engineering.
Interview Process
The process is designed to be transparent and supportive. It starts with a 30-minute hiring manager call, followed by a one-hour portfolio review. The final stage is an on-site visit including an app critique, a values interview, and lunch with the team. Feedback is shared at every stage, with final decisions made within 48 hours of interviews.

Its debit and credit rewards card allows members to earn points on everyday purchases, redeemable on travel, dining, entertainment, wellness, and shopping experiences worldwide, all with no FX fees. The company has grown to a team of 50 and continues to scale quickly.
