Zilch

Zilch is a payment tech company on a mission to create the most empowering way to pay for anything, anywhere. Combining the best of debit, credit and savings, we give our customers the option to earn instant cashback or spread the cost of pricier purchases, completely interest free and with no late fees.

We started in 2018 with a small team and a big dream – to make credit accessible to all. Since then, we've achieved double unicorn status and taken on more than 5 million customers. There are some exciting projects coming up and we’ve got big growth plans.

About the role

Our Product Designers conduct user research, prototype, test usability, and ultimately design delightful experiences for our customers.

You’ll join the Onboarding team and help shape the first impression new customers have with Zilch — from the first touchpoint through to first purchase — driving user activation and early retention.

You’ll work closely with our Onboarding Product Manager, Data Analyst and Engineering team to solve some of Zilch’s biggest growth challenges.

What you’ll be doing

Design and iterate on the onboarding journey to optimise conversion.

Collaborate with the Onboarding Product Manager to turn complex problems into refined design solutions that improve the customer experience.

Contribute to key KPIs within the onboarding area and understand how they impact overall business goals.

Identify impactful growth opportunities using user research, data and experimentation.

Be an active part of the design team, participating in reviews and promoting user-centred design.

Champion a consistent, high-quality experience across the app.

Present your designs to senior stakeholders and confidently defend your rationale.

What we’re looking for

Experience designing user-centred flows for consumer-facing native apps.

Comfort working in fast-paced environments and iterating rapidly.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to back up design decisions using data and user insights.

Experience with onboarding flows and understanding of when to introduce or remove friction.

Proficiency in planning and running user research including interviews, surveys, and usability tests.

A strong grasp of design principles, best practices and experience using Figma.
