Senior Product Designer

Numan

Founded in 2018, Numan is a healthtech company on a mission to empower people to take control of their health. Our platform brings together diagnostics, medication, supplements, digital programmes, and doctor consultations—giving people the tools to maximise life.

We’re a 200+ person team distributed globally and backed by top-tier investors. Our work is already impacting hundreds of thousands of patients across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll be a strategic design leader within your product squad.

You’ll own the end-to-end design process—from discovery through delivery—creating patient-centred solutions that improve health outcomes and drive business success.

You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, clinicians, and fellow designers to understand user needs and bring those insights into every decision.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll lead the design efforts within your squad, using research and data insights to shape product strategy.

You’ll uncover deep user needs through qualitative and quantitative research and translate those findings into design opportunities.

You’ll facilitate collaborative workshops, develop concepts, prototype, and validate ideas with real patients.

You’ll drive measurable improvements in the product experience, aligning with both patient outcomes and commercial goals.

You’ll also contribute beyond the product team—working with marketing, content, and clinical operations to ensure consistency across the full patient journey.

About You

You bring strong design craft and attention to detail, especially in areas where patient trust and safety are essential.

You’re a clear communicator who can explain design rationale to a broad range of stakeholders, including clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams.

You have deep empathy for patients and enjoy being the advocate for their needs throughout the development process.

You’re confident leading discovery, shaping product direction, and delivering thoughtful, data-informed solutions.

You’re experienced working across complex product areas and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

You have a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, including regulated care, coaching, and subscription-based services.

Nice to Have

Experience designing regulated or compliance-heavy products, especially in healthcare.

Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

Background or interest in behavioural science, motivation, or habit formation.

Experience using clinical outcomes data or product metrics to guide design decisions.

Interest in AI-powered experiences or visualising health data over time.

Benefits

Numan offers a range of benefits including health insurance, share options, personal development budgets, Wellhub access, flexible working, generous parental leave, and more. You’ll also receive extra holiday with tenure and paid volunteering days, plus an extended break after five years with the company.

Diversity at Numan

We believe that diverse teams are stronger teams.

At Numan, we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected and valued.

We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives—because that’s how we build better products and a better future for health.
