UI / UX Designer

Pixion Games

Pixion Games is hiring a UI/UX Designer to help shape Fableborne, a hybrid midcore mobile game that combines strategy with ARPG raiding. As part of their fully remote team, you’ll work on everything from game progression and core gameplay to monetisation, liveops, blockchain integration, and web experiences.

This is a unique opportunity to have a lasting impact on the design of a new game, joining a tight-knit studio that values creativity, clarity, and player-first thinking.

Your Experience

You’ve led design systems across platforms and know how to keep them true to the game’s essence while adapting across multiple devices and input types.

You’re technically strong with Unity and Figma, using them seamlessly to solve design challenges. You’ve likely worked as a lead or senior UI/UX designer on midcore or free-to-play mobile titles.

You’re confident in Unity’s UI and animation tools, and you understand its production pipeline well enough to integrate your designs with engineers and technical artists.

You’ve got solid Illustrator and Photoshop skills and can deliver polished visuals, iconography, buttons, and menu designs.

Your wireframes and UX flows are meticulously organised, with clarity being a top priority. You know the development team depends on clean, navigable files.

You understand the feel of fast-paced action games and how to design UI/UX that supports twitch gameplay on mobile. You also understand that even complex systems in midcore games should feel casual-friendly and intuitive.

You're not attached to your job title but confident in the experience and responsibilities you've had.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll lead the growth of the cross-platform design system, making sure players feel immersed whether they’re in the game, on the website, or in the blockchain platform.

You’ll mentor other designers while keeping the structure collaborative and flat. Your role is to support and coach, not to command.

You’ll collaborate with product directors and game designers to stay aligned on game design documents, desired player emotions, and ongoing feedback through production.

You’ll run UX research both internally and with community players to test and refine your ideas early.

You’ll design UI/UX for core gameplay, game progression, monetisation, liveops, web, and blockchain features.

You’ll also prepare UI in Unity, create wireframes and interactive prototypes, gather references, document decisions, and maintain organised files.

Working Hours

Pixion Games works across European time zones, with a core schedule of 9:30am to 4pm GMT/BST.
