UX Designer

Lloyds

Lloyds Banking Group is the UK’s largest bank with more than 30 million customers. It’s also the biggest digital bank in the country, with over 20 million active users. With a major transformation underway, they’re focused on delivering better digital experiences and helping Britain prosper.

This is a 12-month fixed-term UX Designer role, joining the team responsible for building the in-app virtual assistants across Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland. You’ll be working on conversational experiences that help millions of customers navigate banking tasks with ease.

About the role

You’ll take full ownership of your designs, working alongside a full product and design team. From sketching and prototyping to final delivery, you’ll be shaping end-to-end user journeys and creating clear, accessible experiences across platforms. Your designs will help simplify complex interactions and improve the way customers access support through virtual assistants.

You’ll be expected to present your work confidently to stakeholders, adapt based on feedback, and use insights from user research to refine your approach. You’ll also need to consider technical limitations across platforms and be comfortable balancing user needs with business goals.

What they’re looking for

Lloyds is looking for someone with strong experience in UX or interaction design. You’ll have end-to-end project ownership and a good understanding of layout, prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD, and design systems. Experience working in complex or regulated environments like financial services is a plus, along with a collaborative mindset and a passion for inclusive design.

They’re especially interested in candidates who have a keen interest in conversational design or virtual assistants, and who can bring customer insights into every stage of the design process.

The offer

You’ll get a generous package, including a pension contribution of up to 15%, a discretionary bonus, share schemes, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a range of wellbeing and lifestyle benefits. This is a hybrid role, with at least two days per week in the London office.

Lloyds is focused on creating a values-led culture and an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. They were among the first UK organisations to introduce dedicated menopause and cancer support initiatives, and they welcome applications from all backgrounds. Adjustments are available for candidates who need them at any stage of the process.
