UX/UI Design Consultant
KPMG Ireland
KPMG Ireland is looking for a UX/UI Design Consultant to join the Belfast Centre of Excellence. You will design user-centric digital experiences for large-scale platforms and enterprise solutions. This role is suited to someone passionate about solving real-world problems, comfortable working in complex and fast-paced environments, and eager to apply UX and UI principles to create scalable, accessible, and measurable solutions.
Who You Are
You have one to three years of experience designing digital experiences, ideally for enterprise platforms. You are skilled at translating user needs and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs. You are curious about how people interact with technology and use design thinking to identify opportunities and improve usability. You bring clarity to complexity, articulate design decisions with confidence, and thrive in cross-functional teams.
You are comfortable with ambiguity, open to iteration and feedback, and motivated to grow as a designer and consultant. A background in design, HCI, psychology, computer science, or another creative/analytical field is welcome.
Preferred Technical Experience
Experience creating user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools.
Familiarity with usability testing, surveys, interviews, and applying insights to design decisions.
Understanding of accessibility principles and inclusive design standards such as WCAG.
Exposure to responsive and adaptive design across web and mobile platforms.
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and implementation considerations.
Awareness of design systems and how to contribute to them.
Experience working with data-driven applications or visualisation tools.
Familiarity with agile workflows and collaboration with technical teams.
Interest in emerging technologies such as AI-powered design tools.
What You Will Do
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will use human-centred design to solve user needs and support business outcomes. You will map customer journeys, identify experience gaps, and design interfaces across web and mobile. You will collaborate with developers, product teams, and data experts to ensure feasibility and strategic alignment. You will also contribute to workshops, research, and client presentations while supporting KPMG’s growing experience design practice.
What You Can Expect
You will join a pioneering human-centred design team at KPMG Ireland, supported by leadership and exposed to varied client challenges across industries. You will gain hands-on learning, mentorship, and opportunities for rapid growth, while contributing to solving real-world design problems.
